About Clare McDermott
Clare’s professional background includes management positions in marketing as well as finance, but her personal passion is in how to convey complex business ideas with magnetic simplicity.
Prior to founding SoloPortfolio, Clare served as the Director of Finance and Operations for The Chestnut Hill School, a historic elementary school in Chestnut Hill, MA. She has also worked in management positions in healthcare consumer marketing (The Joslin Diabetes Center) and B2B financial service marketing (Batterymarch Financial Management).
Clare holds an MBA in Marketing and Finance from the F.W. Olin Graduate School of Business at Babson College and an MA in American Literature from Washington University. She is an instructor and featured blogger for the Content Marketing Institute and is crazy-obsessed with design and cycling.
